MissionThe Friends of Fort McHenry is the recognized Friends group of Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine. Its mission, in partnership with the National Park Service, is to support the development and implementation of educational programming and living history activities, and the creation of interpretive exhibits and visitor facilities that best engender the widest possible understanding and appreciation of Fort McHenry and the enduring legacy and promise of our National Anthem. Join us for the Friends of Fort McHenry Star-Spangled Spectacular to celebrate Defender’s Day and honor Admiral John C. Harvey, Jr., Commander, US Fleet Forces Command recipient of the 2010 Francis Scott Key Award for distinguished service to the citizens of Maryland and the nation. Saturday, September 11, 2010 5:00 - 9:00 PM Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine 2400 East Fort Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21230 Buffet dinner, drinks, music, fireworks & fun for all ages!
